In certain Asian cultures, it is still strongly believed and upheld that a woman's place is at home. In a less conservative, less traditional society such as Singapore, this train of primitive thinking continues to burden women with the heavy balancing act of household responsibilities and their careers. Women and men are mostly treated equals although there may still persist some discriminations and prejudices that most prefer to remain.
