When I went to Vienna, I arranged to meet two Viennese designers - Lia and Dextro. They both do work that is animated and very abstract, more concerned with pure form than recognisable content. It is very beautiful work.
Lia and Dextro exist in a space between commercial design and pure art, a situation that seems common for younger Viennese designers. Both were adamant that their faces must not be publicised - a gesture of defiance in the face of commercial art. I took pictures anyway. Guy from Belgium was visiting Lia, so he's here too.
